Corrupted Compassion

Corrupted Compassion

A Poem by VR Zette

Looking at the skies above.
Hoping for a shooting star.
Wishing for true love
And may our relationship go far.

Sailing through the seas of desires,
Gliding through the midst of time.
Waiting for something that inspires
My life that has no rhyme.

Why did the rose have to wither like this
When all it did was to prove her strength?
When will the thorns stop there hypnosis?
And how long is this torture's length?

Can anybody hear this rose's call?
Its cries and screams are pure gold.
The time for it to fall
Is a story that is untold.

Secrets of the yesterday must be revealed
But the skirt kept it in a chest.
A chest plenary sealed
And a heart ready to rest.

I can see a live body
But the dead soul is cloistered.
Her mind says she's ready
But her heart is still battered.

I thought it was an apple to the eye
But I guess it was just a nightmare.
A nightmare that sets forth me to die
And a coarse coffin is all that is there.

Conjuring for the innocence to be returned
And reminscing the ecstatic mind.
When will this liberty be earned
And this bond again be bind
