I Thought You Were MIne

I Thought You Were MIne

A Poem by VR Zette

I dreamed of you a thousand times
Before you became mine.
I spent a thousand dimes
Just to see you so fine.

I thought I wouldn't be able to,
Able to be with you.
Because all I ever did was watch you from afar.
Then you became my shining star.

I thought we would last forever
Because you told me that you wanted us to be together.
I didn't know it was all just a lie.
Now I think I'm going to die.

Why did I even fall for you?
Knowing that you weren't really true.
Now I'm fading fast
Because I'm still stuck in our past.

How can I ever forget about you?
When every night in my dreams I see you.
Leaving me behind and so cold,
This part of our destiny was never been told.

You have always been my destiny.
Now I know it wasn't reality.
Leaving me behind was your choice.
Ever since then I never heard your voice.

How can I let go of you?
When all of our memories were true.
How can I be fine?
When I thought you were mine.

the first stanza may have taken from my writing "You're still the one", but it still sounds fine. (I guess) ... well this is about how I'm still stuck with our memories and promises...

there is nothing wrong in remembering the memories and the promises of our love ones , but it comes a time when we must move on and leave the past in the past . Overall i liked your piece (y) well done
