About all the snobs and know-it-alls! : )

Not good enough!

Oh! He says I’m not good enough...

To match him and his ways!

So he just can’t hang around,

With someone, as useless as me.

 

I just stare at him wondering,

Why he is being such a know-it-all;

After all, he has not achieved anything great,

And then, won’t his attitude lead to his fall?

 

He leaves me in confusion,

Doubt and despair line my mind;

I doubt whether I should try again,

Or leave it all behind.

Am I really turning into a serious person? I cannot write anything but serious poetry these days! : )

Overall nice poem. It seems he is confused as much as you.The poem left me with a feeling of; what is going to happen next. You should try to write a second part of this poem maybe from the guy's perspective that would be entertaining :)

Lol. Your after comment is hilarious. Serious is good. Too serious, err, not so much. I enjoyed the poem. It seemed very personal. I hope whoever he is, he should know he is kind of a jerk. No one knows it all. Keep writing and do not doubt yourself. Not now, not ever.

Yeah, but to be fair to him, don't we all have an inkling of such traits somewhere deep in us? No one is completely great or wholesomely terrible. I bet if you dug deeper, you'd find someone else echoed the same rebuke to him at some point in his life.
