The Bird

The Bird

A Poem by Flightless Butterfly

The bird no longer sings
for no one knows her songs.

The bird no longer sings
for those who hear end up in tears.

The bird no longer sings
for the lovely tunes have fallen on deaf ears.

The bird no longer sings
for no one has joined her rhythms.

The bird just simply refused to sing.

It's a quite simple poem but I love it. You let the reader create a scenario with their own mind about the bird and why the bird no longer sings and I love it, brilliant.
