Homebrew

Homebrew

A Poem by Gatiel
"

Inspired by an ancient art.

"

Pour your water,

Boil your mash,

Have a beer,

Time to relax.

Mash is done,

Strain it out,

That funnel clean?

Without a doubt!

Pitch your yeast,

Take your reading,

Sit back down,

It ain’t no thing.

Drink a beer,

Watch it foam,

Check your airlock,

Bubbles done?

Transfer it out,

Bottling time,

Seven more days,

To make it prime.

Don’t worry now,

Your brew is good,

Have a beer,

Cause now it’s done.

Pop the top,

No skunky smell,

Take a sip,

Time to tell.

Invite some friends,

Hand ‘em round,

Your brews the best,

Anywhere around.

Oh too cute! Pops used to make his own before he got caught by Gramma. One stern look and that was the end of his brewing days.

I prefer making strawberry wine though. :)

Nice poem!
