Darkness and Pain

Darkness surrounds me,

sadness fills me,

emptiness eats me,

fear hounds me.

 

I try to See,

my vision clouded.

I try to Listen,

my hearing muted.

I try to Feel,

my touch occluded.

I try to Taste,

my tongue bound.

I try to Smell,

my scent removed.

 

I remember what happened,

time before time.

I repeat my mistakes,

time after time.

I'm bound to this life,

time within time.

 

Some day my soul,

will make the leap,

and all will come to an end.

 

For all my pain,

Stems from my own hand.

At first it sounded like a lamenting tragedy. Then when i read the last line. I brought forth the image of a traveler through many lives that has caused their own fall from grace, by their own actions.
I liked the flow of this work, it was fast, but full of images.
Great job!
