Skin to Skin

Skin to Skin

A Poem by EC Morrigan

Can't fight the wind
Can't fight the scream inside your walls
I'll do it again,
though I might take back all my lies
I can't fight the wind
I can't fight the wind inside your walls
So fade this all inside your skin
I'll do it again and as you heal
I'll just do it again

All wishes fade somewhere
You might mend but somedays dead
And I can't stand the dreams within your eyes
Just set me free so that I might cry
Just let me scream and fall so that i can lie
Your truths drown within your walls

let me be alone if you won't touch me
skin to skin
I'll lick your sins
I'll drink the darkness from your mind
I'll breath you in
do you feel my breath across your skin?
So raise your lips so they meet mine
Just drink me in...

Can't fight the need
Can't fight the clutch inside the core
I'll want it again
Though I might take back all my cries
I can't fight the need inside the core
So strip yourself down to your skin
I'll want it again
I'll want it again and as you taste
I'll just want it again

let me be alone if you won't touch me
skin to skin
I'll lick your sins
I'll drink the darkness from your mind
I'll breath you in
do you feel my breath across your skin?
So raise your lips so they meet mine
Just drink me in...

I can't stand the dreams inside your eyes
This desperate fear that they're like mine
I can't crack the wall
I can't try and stop this failing hope
I'll take you down, and you will want to shake the walls
I'll strip myself down to my skin
I'll lick your sins, meet your lips with mine

If its more than you can take just say the word
And leave me here alone where you won't touch me
Do you feel my breath across your skin?

Let's lay down skin to skin
Raise our lips until they meet
And just inhale...

Quite interesting. Your stanzas sound like lyrics. I could hear this being played as a song inside my head. This poem makes me think of desperately wanting something, but trying to push it away at the same time. I enjoyed reading it.
