A Poem by EC Morrigan
"

I don't actually remember writing this.

"

I keep finding pieces of me all around like dirt in the sand,
I stand out in the glistening wind, baby don’t let it show, just
Let me know if you see me among the almost glass women…
Now let me tell you, my words may not be clear, and when I start
Saying: honey, darling, hun and crazy well my words they change in time
Maybe in peaceful turns we’ll understand the ways, but I know I
I know me, and I mean what I mean to say, but as I writer what I mean
The words may not be on the lines but somewhere in between
There are days and places where I seem so forward and so real
It seems that I can always say what I truly feel, but only when
It is only when it doesn’t matter, to me or you, you see I am dirt in the sand
I walk among the almost glass women, covered in mud, but I flow
Tearing down stability, tearing down the walls, I am a force of nature
Glass breaks but what am I, I am dirt I am carbon I am coal and I flow
I move along the path with wind and rain and time, I won’t break I’ll flow
I keep finding pieces of me all around like dirt in the sand,
I stand out in the glistening wind, baby don’t let it show, just
Tell me when you find the pieces of me that are with you
We both know that you do not move among the almost glass men.

My stories are more than passion they are oxygen. I live for the plots, the characters, the ability to build and destroy my own worlds. My poems are short bursts of emotion that have no place in my h.. more..
