Thousand words

Thousand words

A Poem by Youssef Kanaan

A single, a hundred, a thousand words
Let those thoughts outnumber the birds.
So much to see and so much to know
Yet there's no stopping time's stable flow.
We look at the stars, the land, the sea
Our minds are free but our bodies stay still
And think of all the places that could be.
But that is not a fact as all would think
As only places in our minds follow our will.
As reality and dreams can also be in sync.

Damn I really like this! Above all, the imagery you use, especially "outnumber the birds" this line just has something unique to it. Kepp it up, really enjoyed reading this!
