The DevilA Poem by katy BWas it just a dream?
We went to see the devil last night
It was at a very odd stop We drove down a road I do not know And stopped so suddenly I hardly felt the car move I only went along because of what you said. You said he had mentioned me on your last visit. Why would he do so. I thought our deal was done That ancient serpent that once slithered through my door Onto the the roof of the car and Into the cleft we crawled. I tried to stay hidden but I felt his heart leap with joy He spoke to you but I felt him sniffing out my presence I watched him smile as he turned his eyes towards me You got frustrated because you felt that he was distracted I was amazed however. We spoke with our eyes. He said to me "You are still mine" Of course I denied it I owe him nothing. All of a sudden he had his cold sweaty hand round my neck He smiled revealing perfectly aligned teeth And beautiful green eyes I shut my own before I could drown in them "Welcome home. I have missed you" He whispered. I don't remember leaving © 2016 katy B |
