Burning BridgesA Poem by katy B
Burning Bridges
Do not burn bridges they say But what if I don't want it to stay I've crossed this bridge to the other side Just after being crushed by the rising tide I look back at this bridge There are holes and gaps Like its been through a siege And so many have fallen completing this lap I watch as many stumble and fall The mighty and tall I watch them crawl in despair And sadly I do not care This assassin of a bridge creeks as if in pain Decieving every gentle soul that graces it Giving them hope before leaving them slain Never does this bridge lack a soul to eat I should burn this bridge. I've made it all the way to the other side There is no going back No one else should use this bridge any longer © 2015 katy BFeatured Review
