Her Pain

Her Pain

A Poem by Kharon
"

To in old Love.

"
She used to lock herself away in a safe so that she might retain a since of preciousness for no one deemed her so, she would stand idle in her window waiting for a family that she would never be blessed to know. My love would cut herself just to see if she could feel, she would say if this blood that seeps from my wound is real then my heart does not lack the potential to heal, I would steal a kiss from her lips and lick her laseration and I would press my ear against her breast so that I could hear the palpatation from within her chest and I would say my love penetration of the flesh is in unnecessary method to prove you can convalace for I am here and you are alive!! She would smile and cry for she harbors the pain that only a girl that will never reconcile with her upbringing can shed, she has to live with in I love you baby never said and a bed time story never read.
My love would lock herself away praying that when she resurfaced that she would see a better day and I would retrieve her from her self crafthed sepulcher and hold her within in my arms, providing my body as fortification and shielding her from harm. I would say my love the present is only better when its made so and until construction is finished we shall weather this torrent together!! And my limbs for now will be the foundation of your home so that when this world has taken its toll you won't be alone.
She would sob solemnly in my embrace covering her eyes and guarding her face and I would stroke her hair aiming daggers with my eyes at those who wished to stare. After ah while she would sniffle and smile at me with those eyes brown like dirt upon in autmmn floor masking the hurt all the while. There is no place id rather be, even if the sky fell and I fall from gods grace there is no other space that id rather occupy then this safe with you.
