Love Injection

This is my first and only Villanelle. I'm a huge Dylan Thomas fan so I wanted to learn how to write one myself. This one is about my husband.

 

Everything adored

Your eyes glisten like fire with perfection

Deep within your core

It was a crux in time that I fell for

You were tempting, bleeding with confection

Everything adored

Even though you watch dumb movies of gore

You won my heart without an election

Deep within your core

Leaving me breathless, begging for much more

You have stung me with a love injection

Everything adored

Constantly loving you, this vow I swore

I live for moments of sweet affection

Deep within your core

We discuss topics such as love and lore

I have never felt such a connection

Everything adored

Deep within your core
