Innocuous Innocent

Innocuous Innocent

A Poem by Khawaja Musadiq

Sun descended down the horizon, tired,
Blue sky turned red.
A child in Heaven asks a man:
'You know why has the sky turned red?'

A toddler's soul replies:
"It is the reflection of my bloodshed...
Not only you,
The sky is crying too!
Yesterday it was a Paradise:
The glaciers, The million-inch Himalayas..
The Browns, the Blues, the Greens..
Today, it is only blood-stains!
They care for the beauty lost,
Lives like mine never cost.
Look..they've put a label on my lapel
It reads: In...
It has left me puzzled,
Tell me..
What does it mean,
Innocuous or Innocent?

About
I'm all emptiness. Blank as the sky; I am. Not as blank as a paper though. I've traces of clouds as well. I feel the need of wind that will either make me all cloudy or cloudless! more..
