LostA Poem by Kathryn Star, Shine!Kathryn was my twin sister... I remember, yet I still forget all the memories that are slipping away...Where did you go? Where have I've been? Time takes its toll, Lost again
Three years of not hearing your voice Torn to pieces by the worlds liberation Trying to stand on my own But, lost again
Mirrors and pictures remind me Who I am suppose to be Yet when I look It's just me... Lost
Winter returns as Summer reigned, All the sweet smells of a hot day, I go to your grave With a fistfull of flowers, Lost, trying to find my way
There you are I pause and seek, What are the words I have to say Only memories come into view of us laughing, Running through the thick brush, But then again, I'm lost... Where did you go? What happened to me? My heart explodes with extreme I see your grave, I walked here I know, Yet... There is nothing to say... As I place the fistfull of flowers on your grave.
Dedicated to my twin sister, Kathryn, may you rest in peace and may I finally find peace... © 2009 Kathryn Star, Shine!Author's Note
