Lost

Lost

A Poem by Kathryn Star, Shine!
"

Kathryn was my twin sister... I remember, yet I still forget all the memories that are slipping away...

"

Where did you go?

Where have I've been?

Time takes its toll,

Lost again

Three years of not hearing your voice

Torn to pieces by the worlds liberation

Trying to stand on my own

But, lost again

Mirrors and pictures remind me

Who I am suppose to be

Yet when I look

It's just me...

Lost

Winter returns as Summer reigned,

All the sweet smells of a hot day,

I go to your grave

With a fistfull of flowers,

Lost, trying to find my way

There you are

I pause and seek,

What are the words I have to say

Only memories come into view of us laughing,

Running through the thick brush,

But then again,

I'm lost...

Where did you go?

What happened to me?

My heart explodes with extreme

I see your grave,

I walked here I know,

Yet...

There is nothing to say...

As I place the fistfull of flowers on your grave.

Dedicated to my twin sister, Kathryn, may you rest in peace and may I finally find peace...

Go ahead and tear this apart, take it piece by piece and hang me. I don't care anymore. I'm just on w/c to learn...

I think this is painfully beautiful. Its full of sorrow, regret, longing but mostly love. Its a brave thing to open up the most haunting parts of yourself for strangers to inspect and critique, but its an amazing thing for you to share this much of yourself to your readers, even if it is only as voyeurs to your pain. You have real talent for this. Its a gift.

Your poem reaffirmed that the loss of love ones can be a painful journey where we can easily lose our way. Remembering the good times aka: "Only memories come into view of us laughing" is a wonderful memory .. I can relate to the bond of sisterhood... It's strong and unbreakable.... Sorry for your loss ...

Wow. Thank you for sharing this. It is beautiful and I know she would love it. My heart goes out to you, and I can't even imagine the connection of a twin sister. Nicely done, and even though it must have been dificult to write, you know she would love it.

First of all, I'm not going to tear this apart because even with its faults in writing, the emotion of it comes out clearly. When I read it by first glance I couldnt understand it fully but once I went over it, it is very sweet yet sympathetic and sort of sorry in a way. Good job, by the way ;)
