I too Will Remember

I too Will Remember

A Poem by Kathryn Star, Shine!
"

My best friends father died... I'll remember the times, and hold you when you need a shoulder.

"

Oh the times when you were just a little one,

Running through the blue berry fields your father planted,

Picking the ripe ones off,

Knowing just the right size, color and take,

Though I never got to see,

What you have in your memories,

I get to hear you talk about the good times,

Now that your father has passed,

Remorse fills me up,

knowing I could have been a part of your world,

Pictures can paint a thousand words only if you know,

What it's all about,

I wish you well,

I feel your pain,

A card could never tell you or explain,

May never comfort you in your time of need,

However from this heartfelt poem,

I give to you,

A piece of what I see,

It's only a patial painting,

The best I can do for now,

When a holiday springs up,

I will put you on my first list of guests,

Your Mother will be the second one,

We can get through this together,

One day at a time,

Know he's in Heaven

He worked his life hard,

A farmer,

Proud,

Pure,

A delight...

I don't completely know your sorrow,

However I've had my own as well.

Hugs forever...

It is very difficult when some one you care about loses someone so very dear to them. You want so badly to ease their pain - to remove the horror from their life. But one true solice for someone who grieves is to know that they do not cry alone. That someone - somewhere - also knows the depth of their torment. The fact that you shared a memory with your friend, and that you shall also miss her father (though not known well) might make the burden of remorse lighter. You speak your words, as always, so elequently. Your heart flows with the descriptions of the memories that you share. The memory of her Father will live on in you, as well as her. Once again, you created a fantastic poem. Thank You for sharing a part of you with us.
