Tell Me WhyA Poem by Kathryn Star, Shine! There are a lot of things that happen in your life. Some good, others bad. Some take the most beatings, but why? When my twin and I were three, We were taken away by the state, As my mother wailed for another chance, It was too late... When I was three, going on four, I was adopted to a high powered family Yet there was so many secrets, Pedophiles hide in many ways, When I was four and half I was taken away, Discovered that my home was nothing but porn, Adopted again by a Brady Bunch Family, And on the first night, Boys who were six years older then a five year old, Told us exactly how to survive. If we didn't do sexual favors, They'd tell their mother that they hated us, And my twin and I would be seperated forever. We endured... casted away our souls, Just to be with one another, To have a link between foe and friend. Now that I am old, My sister passed at age 41, Murdered by her husband, I sit and wait for my destiny. I sit and wait for God to intervene between the good and bad. © 2009 Kathryn Star, Shine!Author's Note
