Sad Eyes

Sad Eyes

A Poem by Kathryn Star, Shine!
"

When you don't want people knowing what's inside.

"
Sad eyes,
I looked your way,
What is inside your mind?
Sad eyes,
I thought their'd come a day,
We never even said goodbye...

Deep blue eyes,
Filled up like the ocean inside,
Watching you concave,
Your sad eyes

Didn't you think I'd know,
That when you left my heart was solo,
When all is said and done,
I look in the mirror and see those,
Sad eyes looking back at me.

RIP 2006

Kathryn Star, Shine!
RIP... and remembering those deep blue sad eyes trying to smile. Murdered by the one who you loved too much and never realizing he was killing you.

Hmmm, eyes tell everything, your emotions, what you think about yourself, etc. My grandmother always tells me I have sad eyes and this reminds me of what my grandmother keeps on telling me except for the fact that I have dark eyes, but whatever.

This was good. I enjoyed reading it, being filled with compassion and good grief is a good feeling to feel for me right now:) Good Job.

What a gut-renching poem. The twist at the end with you looking into your own sad eyes was well done. I enjoyed this very much.

I see two pair of sad eyes in this poem my friend. And two hearts that once were one.
