I Have Waited For so Long

I Have Waited For so Long

A Poem by Kathryn Star, Shine!
"

death and wanting to have things the way they were, asking questions... for death is final... and for the ones left, is often extremely painful.

"
Long walks, long talks with you,
I remember,
Hot days, cool nights,
Being lazy.
Time takes it's toll,
I'll always remember your face,
It's getting hazy,
We laughed and sang,
Our, through life...
Stay for awhile,
Only to see you smile
And I loved your company,
Breezy nights and cold days,
Nothing's easy,
Old noises that we shared,
Now are shaded,
With windows shut,
Remember me,
As I remember you,
When time just flew away,
Like a butterfly in the sky,
Empty rooms and dusty shelves,
Now shown to me in my soul,
If for one momoent you could come,
Say hello,
but I guess you do.
With the memories
The pictures
And the yearning to touch you,
Dreams falling apart,
One last attempt to say,
hello and I miss your company...
Love you...

This is beautiful and heartbreaking. It brings a lump to my throat as I read it, its so full of emotion. Its sad and nostalgic. This line was so simple, but I think it sums up the whole poem - "And I loved your company". It tells of how much that person is missed and loved. This really is wonderful.
