It's Killing Me

It's Killing Me

A Story by Kathryn Star, Shine!
"

When you think you love some for so long... and they love someone else.

"

You've known me since I was a kid,

Now we are grown, I can't help but stay the same

If you knew how much I loved you and still do,

Would things still be the same?

I held your memories in my heart,

Never thought I'd see you again,

Then I found we've been playing, play-a-go-round,

I was here, you were there, passed you on the intersection

Now when I see you, it's the same,

But I can't have you,

Do I dare dream...

No I was just invited to your wedding,

I know you felt the same way

But you didn't want to tell anyone,

Cause at the time,

I was too young and

You were just a little to old...

I undestand this piece perfectly . i have been madly inlove with my x for so long , em and him are close but not toether and it kills he is now with someone else and everytime they are together its like he's breaking my heart all over again.
I sypmathise with this piece and feeling is placed beautifully into context, you strike home wth such beautiful emotion perhaps more of a poem than a story tho.
Great stuff a wonderful read

Every heart is set on treason
For the things it cannot say
And true love's secret thus betray" Unrequited Love

I know the feeling here. Good write.

this is very mysterious, but you are able to be very direct in your feelings. the levels of confusion are relatable and i feel your frustration. good job.

This speaks to relationship that are wanted but not meant to be. In a goodly portion of the people out there I would imagine this will strike a cord for them. They will find something in it to relate to something that happened in their lives. It did that for me. And, yeah. You love them jus' cause you love them; even if you are never able to keep them for yourself.

Good stuff, KS!

Cheers!
Doc.
