peach

peach

A Poem by Kevin Reader

5.24.2007 (1) [15750]

what a peach you are
fuzzy warm
with an orangy glow

one crisp clean bite
taste the inside
sweet with a twinge of sour
that lasts on tongues for hours

juicy and revealing
the inside core
houses a hard exterior with a surface
that is hard to break into

within all those layers
is a golden seed
that contains more beauty
than all the others

Very well written piece, the description is excellent, I think this can also be about many other things, a metaphor....but that is within the reader's interpretation as a good poem should be, well done :)

I would say this poem is the pits, but the pun is too obvious. Actually it is quite good. Devouring the lover is a wonderfully sinister image in its way. Thanks for the friend invitation. I look forward to reading your work.

This is a sensual poem to me and it seems to reflect love as well as sensuality.
This is especially nice..

than all the others

A great poem , well done in my opinion.

Peace
Chloe

I don't understand why you've turned the peach inside out? Did you mean "houses" or is housed by?

Sorry for my confusion
