A Poem by Kevin Reader

9.10.2008 (1)

the bang theory / a love eclipse

and in that moment we were afraid
afraid to move
afraid to speak

our eyes had glossed over
as we were both paralyzed
by each other's gaze

in that safety we were free
in that one moment we were in love
and we knew that it could not be forever

but for that moment
love existed unlike nothing else

it was shared
reciprocapted
and real

there was a coexistence
and two worlds met,
collided
a lapse
a frozen moment

Then sound came back to the world.

Great job! Creative, expressive and explosive...the ending leaves a sad impression that reality found its way back into the hearts and minds of the ones involved. Love being no longer blind. Thanks for entering this poem into the "In My Lover's Words" contest.

Then sound came back to the world.

I just love the sentiment of this, especially today with the huge experiment beginning in Switzerland (I think), and love is just like a big bang, that moment of nothing but living, breathing that moment, you're last ine just made me smile............beautifully romantic.
