tired stress

tired stress

A Poem by Kevin Reader

10.18.2007 [306 Apt 10]

enough is enough

i’ve had it up to here

i’m tired

the days drag on and on

one fleeting moment to another

sunrise

a few hours

a shared meal or two

sunset

i’m tired of wasted time

time without purpose

time without direction

so what?

people get lost, sidetracked

they are like stereotyped cats:

they always land on their feet

what happens to a person

when confusion and meaning have escaped

when the border to the puzzle is missing a piece

so that the precious middle cannot be solved

enough is here

i’ve had it up to enough

I actually enjoyed this piece. You're sick and tired of the time and memories passing so quickly and of the same mundane things in everyday life.

"i’m tired of wasted time

time without purpose

time without direction" You feel like you're wasting your time because you feel like your wasting your life away (I can certainly relate to that).

"what happens to a person

when confusion and meaning have escaped

when the border to the puzzle is missing a piece

so that the precious middle cannot be solved." What is a person to do when their disorder and significance have ran away? They're supposed to be as mundane as everyone else? You can't understand their dilemma unless you have their entire story (reasons why) and if you're missing a piece how are you supposed to do that? Oh and the last two lines I think you may have accidentally reversed: "enough is here, I've had it up to enough." I think you meant enough is enough I've had it up to here. But anyway this is just my interpretation. I think it's a good write with a nice meaning behind in. Keep it up! :)
