Mark on my HeartA Poem by KevinKevz"I hope you know who you are, until you lose who you are."- T.S
Midnight calls, filled with so much laughters and overcoming fears,
Teardrop falls, told me your daddy issues so I was all ears. Hugged me in the dark, suddenly held my hand so tight, We’ve got that spark, causing our feelings to ignite. We paint the town red as we dance lightly with our feet, Drunk laid on bed after a piggyback ride in the street. Hangover to sober, I almost forgot that we kissed, Sooner or later, only in your memory is where I exist. Thankful enough cause you were there by my side, When life gets tough, your arms were open wide. Gave what you want- all I had, in order to make you stay, Your past love haunt, this is bad, your feelings never went away. A dramatic turn of events happened on the fifth of July, That climactic fight made us saddened, led to a swift goodbye. We just started not talking, no more chats, not keeping in touch, Hated me for overthinking, for always arguing too much. Saturday morning, still here pretending that I don’t miss you, My world is crumbling, steadily breaking from my point of view. I can’t believe this is the end, now I need to recover and restart, I have to live and make amend; you left a permanent mark on my heart. © 2022 KevinKevz |
