Cave in, Kevin

This poem is very personal. I wrote this when I was drunk trying to release what fester me inside when my world is crumbling & falling apart. But just give in, cave in & let your deepest hurt be free!

Your heart is heavy with so much sadness and pain,
Like a storm cloud furiously pouring all the rain,
Soon you'll have the courage to conquer from within,
But right now, it is okay to cave in, Kevin.. .


Your mind wants to forget how people did you wrong,
So you fled away just to know where you belong,
Be the most resilient person you've always been,
But right now, take your time to rise from vain, Kevin.. .


You fell behind your friends but don't feel so ashamed,
Success is not a race, failures should not be blamed,
Keep in mind that there are battles you cannot win,
But right now, just crumble into pieces, Kevin.. .


You want to break free from the gyves of misery,
Like how the waves drown the forlornness in the sea,
Hope you'll brave the journey you're planning to begin,
But right now, it is okay to cave in, Kevin.
