I HOPE IT RAINS

The rain is my best friend. It console me when I'm lonely.

When I'm sad,  I hope it rains

I'll watch the raindrops falling, 

Until I fall asleep,

And forget about the pain. 

When I'm sad,  I hope it rains

So I can listen to its rhythm,

While I curl up in a corner, 

Having my wistful moment. 

When I'm sad,  I hope it rains

As my pillows know my anguish, 

I don't have to cry solitarily, 

Let the clouds shed its tears on me. 

When I'm sad, I hope it rains

If it pours and turned to storm,

I'll be fine waiting for the rainbow, 

For the grass to be greener. 

When I'm sad, I hope it rains

To calm my worries niggling inside,

So I can be tough and stronger, 

In fighting my silent-lonely battles.

The repetition worked very well here. It is always better to be sad when it rains. It is always better to cry in the rain. That hides the tears from unwanted attention. A nicely composed five stanza delight.
