In This Battle

When you are close to giving up but you have battles to fight. No one will help you, so be bold and wring your fright!

There’s a storm in my head that keeps on damaging

A worst drought in my heart that persistently hurting

Nobody sees my pain and I am slowly drowning

I’ll be okay, this troubled water serves as cleansing.

Though I’m a withered tree in the middle of spring

I can feel my roots are strong to keep me standing

You maybe hear loud thunders and notice the lightning

But you never see me shine or at times that I’m crying.

Inside this solitude room, one soul is breaking

It's so dark and heavy like a cathartic feeling

I fell to my knees and rain came pouring

Out of the dusts and ashes , I will be rising. 

My thorns turn blunt and lovely petals are dying

I love to fly in the sky but what happened now I’m falling

Tired in catching my breath but I got to continue running

Lost in this maze of chaos, I found myself not moving.

Just like the rainbow gradually disappearing

I’m losing my colors and little by little I’m fading

Trapped in realm of despair, so fears are tormenting

Doors will soon be opened, I must keep on fighting… Keep on fighting!

This is an exceptional poem. Explaining loud and clear and articulate what it's like to feel as though you are losing the battle of living and life. But how one own heart and soul. Let alone spirit can rise above everything. Even in those moments of deep darkness and distraught emotions you can fight those evil demons and with determination and faith within yourself overcome. And win another day. This poem really made me numb with so many emotions reminders of my own past and how this devil affected me. Kevin. You shared part of you in this poem. That others can and do relate to. And can actually feel how you felt. As they themself feel it also. In those vile moments of anguish, dread, fear and extreme upset. Facing the no return of humanlife.

I liked how well spoken and genuine this was. You captured what struggle is like, and the hope we hold onto in the midst of it. The imagery you wove together told a story from different yet connecting images. That's a good way to really communicate what the experience is you're talking about. Like looking at the same even from different angles.
