Keep smiling :)

I am but a teenager with a great heart,

 

Devastated by my generation falling apart,

 

So I try to reach out the best way I can,

 

Through poetry, through writing, I lend my hand,

 

Hear my voice, heed my call,

 

Your not alone, so don't give up at all,

 

Times will be tough, there's no doubt,

 

Don't stay a lost soul, roaming about,

 

I want you to find yourself,

 

Yourself is divine,

 

Don't let anyone tell you,

 

That its the end of the line,

Disagreeing with your other reviewer here... The rhyming and timing was dead on!

I typically do not verbalize a disagreeing voice, yet reading your poem (the entire time feeling the rhyme) than seeing the review made me ponder as to what was being refered to.

As a teenager, we either fit in or we don't, those who don't want to fit into a little bubble of trends seek their own passage in life. They feel it is their duty to engage in changing the minds of those trapped within the confinement of popularity or society.

You have created a powerful statement to those who desire change. Writing is about making a difference and you have captured some of the basic elements to which make that happen.

I enjoyed your poem, thank you for being yourself.

Eh, the rhyming wasn't the best, but I REALLY loved the idea. I'm quite into promoting writing and reading among my peers as well. Unfortunately, it's not as popular as it should be.
