![]() Her Freedom ForlornA Poem by Kevin Dickson![]() Kevin J Dickson © – 2016![]()
She needed no rehearsal to play her lifelong part
She felt the weight of places only she has been Bright lights of city nights were not as she once dreamed She’d lost the liberty of a peaceful mind
It wasn’t raining from her fair skies, nor, Flooding in her deepest domain She needed cutting from her old ties (and) Turn away from her years of emotional pain The years on end came to leave her emotionally insane…
People she saw each day wrote notes upon her charts “There’s danger for this girl living life without a part” It was in the hands of God to free her from insanity
Within my eyes of blue she found a place to hide Loveless years and loneliness to me she did confide
No longer was she in a green field full of flowers of yesterdays She drew her drawings oh so sadly In a daze the madness would somehow drift away
Tears like rain from her green eyes
She was an angel of suicidal thought-speak
