The Appreciator

The Appreciator

A Poem by Kevin Holloway

Talk to me when

You've listened to the trees sway,

Dancing in tune to the wind.

Seek me out when

You've spent a while smelling the meadow

And later are reminded of its aroma.

Talk to me when

Instead of jumping away you've

Observed the bright coat of a hummel.

It is then that I want to hear your words

Because it is then that I will know the pace of your heart.

And finally we can spend the evening under the stars

Smiling as the peace in our souls is laid to rest.
