Flutter

Flutter

A Poem by Kevin Holloway
"

A song I've finally finished. There's still something missing to these lyrics, but as of now that's how the song goes. *obviously better when there's music accompanying it.

"
You've got your eyes
Set on the prize,
But don't you see me
Staring, standing next
To you; no you don't.

You've got a smile -
It can tantalize any
Man, woman, or child
With just a flicker of
Your life.

And flutter away from me
You don't belong

You've got your lips
Sipping the cup of
Victory. Drain it down,
The drink is yours, go
Be free,

Why I can't control
The moon's pull on the tides
Ebb and fall. I'm powerless
Yet can't move on.

And flutter away from me
You don't belong

You expect a call
Forcing you to wait.
Like a dog, you come
Back to it all again
And again.You want it all,
But life just don't wanna
Give. You expect a call...

You've got your eyes
Set on the prize,
But don't you see me
Staring, standing next
To you; no you don't

You've got a smile
It can tantalize any
Man, woman, or child
With just one flicker of
You life.

Kevin Holloway
There's a change in the "you" perspective during one part of the song.

I love this.
I'm sure it sounds amazing with music, but I feel the emotion just as well without it.
Awesome work, yet again. :)
