All But One

All But One

A Poem by Kevin Holloway

It’s funny that things are

Actually

Shifting. They’re becoming

Disturbingly similar to that

Unfamiliar

World which surrounds me.

I stand chained at the eye of a

Fast-moving

Hurricane. And my one shelter, my

thin covers of plank and straw has

blown away

And joined the twirl.

They will fly;

I will die.

They will soar; and I

No more.
