In The AirA Poem by Kevin HollowayA cheery little holiday song I wrote quickly after hearing some jazz players at a bar.A sweet scent fills my nose Fills my heart, oh, there it goes Up it travels, why, who knows? Love is in the air Snow falls, lights a-shinin’ Chimneys start, the smokes a-risin’ Us and all chat and lie there Love is in the air With a snap of fingers And a whip of delight Jingly bells all through the night Eye to eye we join Hand in hand, what a sight! What a feeling it gives me to say Love is in the air I’ll say it again Love is in the air Now off we walk, waltz, and trot Down the street, to the welcome park This living is fresh and hot Love is in the air With a snap of fingers Following a rhythm tight Jingly bells all through the night Lips together join Arms embrace, what a sight! What a feeling it gives me to say Love is in the air I’ll say it again, without a care No matter who dares To laugh or stare Love is in the air Love is in the air Love is in the air. © 2009 Kevin HollowayAuthor's Note
