DelusiaA Poem by Kevin HollowayThe poor soul of a dreamer.Misty clouds froth the edges of my mind Forming a cushion, a gentle barrier inside This inner refuge, this land of peace Is secured by a wall that's unable to breech
Here I do not stumble, here I stand tall My back is straight, no oppresion from my law It's okay, there are no crooked things here Only straight lines to walk on; all is clear
Is it not safe to say, that Delusia is a better way Take my hand and I'll lead you through, leave fool, become me, Because I am God in this galaxy Follow my step, close your eyes, discard the curse Just You and I in this universe. Sing it, this eternal verse: Just you and I in this universe Just you and I in this universe
Just you and I until the froth disappears And then it's just me and my miserable tears I frantically try again to raise my defense Titanic betrayed me, the cold making me tense And I've lost the ability to concentrate Oh, such a cruel, pathetic fate Can't escape.... Can't place... A way to.. Delusia.
