My Addiction

My Addiction

A Poem by Kevin Holloway
"

The ghosts of love deceased can break the barriers of time and haunt the heart till Judgement pulls its leash.

"

Tearless nights by the church near Paris

They’re calling to me

Why are they haunting me?

An endless curse, the shadow of hope

Won’t stop following me

Won’t stop haunting, won’t stop calling me.

Tearless nights by the church near Paris

They’re calling to me

An endless curse, the shadow of hope

Won’t stop following me

Won’t stop calling me…

You call, I answer

You fall, I pick you up

You hate, I fancy

Your heart, your mind and soul

You treat me as the enemy

Placement calls its need for the remedy

Why can’t you be free

Of all your responsibility?

And so it ends

The first chapter of this crumbling façade

But still remains

The want to touch, the envy of grace and all

I know your pain

I am the same, you are the same, we are the same

Apart

You call, I answer

You fall, I pick you up

You hate, I fancy

Your heart, your mind and soul

You treat me as the enemy

Placement calls its need for the remedy

Why can’t you be free

Of all your responsibility?
