Lost Feelings

Lost Feelings

A Poem by Steve
"

The pain of a love that will never happen

"

Every day Day after day It happens every day!
I come to work Just like I am supposed to

And I see you

I try to pretend that everything is ok
I try to be somewhat detached Like I am not pushing it

But then I see you

I try to act natural To not give you too much attention
To not look too long into your eyes

But I can't not look over at you

Its so hard to not tell you how I feel
To not come off as being consumed with you

How can I look at you without giving away how I feel?

If I tell you how I feel How will you respond?
Will you roll your eyes? Will you start to avoid me?

I couldn't face you then

Do you by chance already know how I feel?
By my longer looks By my attentiveness?

Do I look at you too much?

When I called you at home that time
Did I appear to be strange? Was I a little wierd?

I couldn't look at you the next day

Why do I feel this way about you?
There are others....But they don't match up somehow

Looking at you is so special

Could it somehow be strangely possible that you could might feel that same way about me?
Or is this just too impossible?

I could look at you all the time then!

This was very painful. But writing about it helped!

The emotions in this are true and honest, that's what I liked the most. I think we've all been here, loving from a distance; staying at arms length and falling deeper into the web than we originally anticipated. You brought to life a situational image; painted a picture with your words that we could all follow and suffer through with you. My suggestion...write her a letter and see what happens :)

I love the emotion in this. It's full of timidness, feelings of being unworthy. I get this completely. It's a terrible feeling for an otherwise self-confident person to be filled with doubt. Really great read.

I love that this poem is saturated in personality. Genuine, expressive and raw, very revealing of the author.... =-p

I know how you feel. Too many times, I fear. You express yourself so well. Keep up the good work. Talent is something you were born with; it's up to you how you choose to use it. Will you strive to improve? or just settle for being mediocre? That's the challenge for all us writers, isn't it?

Aww. I was already moved by the honesty in this and then I nearly died as I read your author's note. It's just so.. genuine and modest. Shy and sweet. Should I? Could I? Would you... if I...? It has such a sweet sincerity. I'm really glad you wrote it and that it helped you deal with your feelings. "Looking at you is so special" tugged at my heartstrings the most. Technically speaking, it's not perfect, but raw emotion rarely is. No complaints here. 100/100

Everyone encounters a time, situation, or feeling like this sometime in their life and I like how you put words to it.

Hi everyone! It's nice to be back more often now. I read and review a lot, but I don't like read requests. It seems forced. I write when I want to or feel that bit of inspiration. But, .. more..
