NuminousA Poem by Kerry CochranDivine intervention is hard to come by; people sense that in me and now I know why. My sublime style draws energy from a place high in the sky. Numinous that’s me. Mysterious in my own way an intellectual realm, God is in my soul for real The devil’s at the helm. People try and take my kindness for weakness, now knowing what’s in my heart. My premonitions or epiphanies let me know that right from the start. Numinous that’s me. My patience is a virtue but don’t want to hear no crap, My mind is swift and my heart is pure and I love my neighbor as myself Because that is of his good will. My integrity and honor and the faith I have in me, will surpass comprehension another great element in me. My artistic expression compels to the wisdom some people see. I elevate myself to you and I hope you understand. Numinous that’s me. Visions of my future dance through my head, looking for that special someone To take that permanent place in my bed. I have a lot to give and offer to treat you with respect. My mom instilled my values and morals another special trait. It’s not always about what’s outside it’s the inner beauty I seek to be complete again. My dreams and aspirations to build will make me truly whole. Numinous that’s me. I know that there is no greater love than the one for you. To give you my blood, sweat and tears and putting my pen to paper To tell you not a lie, just to give you that something special from This numinous one inside. © 2010 Kerry Cochran |
