A Natural DisasterA Poem by kera moondustyep angsty poetry have fun.You know just as well as anyone What
happens when Warm
and cold air mix Rotating into this funnel cloud my thoughts call home I’ve almost always been compared to a Tornado “She leaves a path of destruction Wherever
she roams” I carry with me gray Skies That pick up winds With every beat this heart of mine Attempts I
was born a Natural disaster As all disaster babies are The skies rained clouds of ash Onto
my seventh year So
how could I not be A Tornado
child The only trouble with that idea is My
eyes Are not gray storm Clouds But cloudless blue skies Or maybe They
are the color of rain instead I know without question that your eyes Are the
ocean Which I guess Over takes the bays of my city sitting on fault lines So you You are An earthquake Sudden and powerful Almost
never foreseen You strike under the ocean Your fault lines separating my heart into continents The sudden burst of energy shifting these cracks Wider
set Sending your sea side eyes whirling And causing an uproar of waves in response You claim to never mean to send such stirring in my heart That turns these winds of mine fiercer yet And heaven forbid if I touch your ocean eyes Because
maybe I’m not stable enough to become A
hurricane Just
yet I’d spend too much time apologizing For high
speed winds And
rainy tears pelted downwards To remember the eye of the storm Is the best place to Dance But I guess someday I’ll learn to appreciate Natural
disasters (Such
as myself) And remember destruction is sometimes a necessity For Rebirth So maybe it’s ok that I’m a Tornado And you’re an Earthquake © 2014 kera moondustAuthor's Note
