NyctophiliaA Poem by kera moondustTo love the night or darkness.I watch movies Where people fall in love at night Under blankets Sharing
secrets And cold toes warmed against each other’s backs Smiling Giggling At the warmth of breath under covers Basking under the soft glow of stars You never got around to putting on the ceiling fan But I fell in love with the Night As it
washed over my skin I was cooled by its touch It wrestled
the fever from my body And quieted these drops of sunny skies That
resides in my eyes It enveloped me in hushed light Provoking my hair to stand on end Caressing my surfaces And infiltrating
my ears with The gratifying silence of Dark
blue The night colors me like a bruise While moonlight heals me Like
hematite And when I should fine myself Dehydrated The stars offer a satiating drink Soothing this fraught mind of mine With
lies only evening coolness can Convey This is why I fell in love with Midnight And it’s witching hour accomplices © 2014 kera moondustAuthor's Note
