The Desensitizing of VampiresA Poem by kera moondustthis poem is not about me.I’ve spent some time hanging out with Sunken eyes and pale faces Hands with receded cuticles And some form of fake blood Spewed
across their mouths They always have the nicest bodies Pouring over pulls Far too bruised up in the veins for someone To notice they’re not all that beautiful People will throw money at their feet anyway The creatures of This
unforgiving underworld We all find ourselves part of Given just a little too much extra time On
our hands And a little bit of Bad
company They always smell like the blood they’ve been fed In the form of capsules Dissolving
reality on the Tongues Of the not to innocent They resemble something of nightmares The way we used to think of Vampires The type children aren’t sure are Real But our
nightmares are twisted into day dreams When I’m
faced with an everyday vampire Offering eternal youth in the form of a blood Capsule Of course it depends on who you’re talking to Who is dumb enough to believe Vampires
are Real © 2013 kera moondustAuthor's Note
