Where The Heart IsA Poem by kera moondust=) yay new poetry. I've been feeling inspired but having a weird writers block too... =xYou told me “Home
is where your heart is.” I couldn’t see your face at the
time I imagined
something along the lines of a cocky smirk That spelled out the words I
Told You So Reaching into
that seashore colored gaze Of
yours (I never
realized until now that those eyes are the Arctic
Ocean) I wasn’t
looking to the sky at the time But how
perfect would that have been Then I could describe the stars
I can’t see here Instead of
the wall I curled into when I replied with “psh. I don’t
even have a heart!” You just
told me I was a Bad liar (I know I
am) And said my heart is still
running around somewhere In
Reno Nevada You think you’re clever telling
me I left my heart in Reno Nevada (It doesn’t have
the ring of) I left my
heart in ___ _______ But you’re
sure of the fact Though I’m
unsure if you think My heart is running around in
the form of A singsong honeybee for a voice And
large sunflower centers for eyes Or if you
think your ocean colored eyes Still ensnare
the skies in mine (The Sky’s said to mock the
Ocean for Color anyway) Or was it the other
way around? I guess now
I’m just looking for the words to tell you I will always love the colors in
your eyes But you won’t
make this place home Like the
song I sing at 10am She’ll always
have my piano player fingers laced in her Hair © 2013 kera moondust
