Embracing the ShorelinesA Poem by kera moondustI am not one to say what this ones about. My body is a
ship wreck Crashing against Your rocky shores My eyes are
the sky Shedding briny tears on These broken masts And ripped
sails Of mine You are the
shoreline Rocks puncturing
my lungs And bruising up my ribs Cracking this
xylophone spine Of mine. I guess at
this point it’s just a matter of time Until my frost bitten heart Fills the
gaps Expanding the
cracks In your heart - Made entirely
of stone And when
both of our hearts are Rubble I am suddenly one and the same
as these gloomy Rain clouds Condensation Showering innocents Little
girls dancing in Hello kitty
rain boots On sidewalks And if I am
this gloomy Sky girl My body is
no longer that Ship wreck I am these
droplets Hurtling towards
your shores Eroding you And your Shell I am too
busy F A L L I N G In love with
the ocean And his shoreline Blue eyes It’s a shame A terrible
shame The ocean
and the sky Never touch © 2013 kera moondustAuthor's Note
