My Melody doesn't hit me until Ten AM

My Melody doesn't hit me until Ten AM

A Poem by kera moondust

Ten AM is a girl
She’s got this rib caged heart that beats pretty fast
And short hair etched on the side
You see this girl’s gaze keeps me grounded
With hope and creativity I cherish daily
I love this girl one of the few I’d say that about with her painted up arms
And flowers in her hair and god you’ve got to adore her sense of fashion
She’s really good at keeping me pinned down
And I’m alright with watching as cigarette smoke clouds pass by
Our construction paper sky

Ten AM’s got me around her finger tips laced up like hair

I don’t mind so much because when you hear her like a bell across the street
I realize she’s just as laced up in me as I find myself
Laced up in her
                   Existence
