One AM screams Star GirlA Poem by kera moondustI went through and wrote poetry for those people closest to my heart. The problem it's either one REALLY long poem, or 12 very short poems. I think it's just too long to be one poem though so this is
One AM is a girl
I've known her almost forever or we used to pretend it was forever she met me in Kindergarten we said we were sisters though I know we're not She came in with stars embedded on her shoulders And cyber space etched in her eyes She has these storm clouds in her chest They rain tears I begged to understand She’s suspended in twilight above our shared collapsing past It’s been months since I’ve seen her now I miss her corkscrew curly hair And beach kissed skin One Am knows the universe is painted on her hands I wish I had it painted on mine I could finally say I know the universe I want her clouds transferred to my chest it's a shame we've grown so far Apart © 2013 kera moondust |
