One AM screams Star Girl

One AM screams Star Girl

A Poem by kera moondust
"

I went through and wrote poetry for those people closest to my heart. The problem it's either one REALLY long poem, or 12 very short poems. I think it's just too long to be one poem though so this is

"
One AM is a girl
I've known her almost forever or we used to pretend it was forever
she met me in Kindergarten we said we were sisters
though I know we're not
She came in with stars embedded on her shoulders
And cyber space etched in her eyes
She has these storm clouds in her chest
They rain tears I begged to understand
She’s suspended in twilight above our shared collapsing past
It’s been months since I’ve seen her now
I miss her corkscrew curly hair
And beach kissed skin

One Am knows the universe is painted on her hands

I wish I had it painted on mine
I could finally say I know the universe
I want her clouds transferred to my chest it's a shame we've grown so far
                                  Apart

I understand and yet I don't, the them more than the poem itself.
