The Importance of Little Red Riding HoodA Poem by kera moondustdeceits a thing. You’ve got
bedroom sheets smooth up against your skin And bedroom
eyes locked on his Something close
to Egyptian cotton I wish I
could tell you what it feels
like To have
scarlet rose petals pressed up against my Body See I’ve
been bathing with these rose colored Glasses Up against
my eyes Tainting my
vision to this nostalgic sepia tone It’s like I’ve
been bathing in blood That’s barely lukewarm Just flesh
in the mouth of a fairytale’s Big Bad Wolf Sway with me To the other
side of the moon Roses in
your mouth Tell me who the real wolf is In sheep’s
clothing My eyes are
nothing but the mirror mirror
on the wall it’s your
lover who killed them all you see he’s
been busy chomping up little pigs well there
were three of a kind It’s not your
fault you scream You didn’t
cause his red rampage But even if
you’re not the reason For what a BIG BAD Wolf He turned
out to be You see you
love him and you’re stuck
with him now embedded
deep in the walls of your paper thin heart Cradling him
in your crimson colored cloak Sipping bloody
toxins from his kiss There’s no
happy dagger in this Fairytale ending Who’s the
real monster? © 2013 kera moondustAuthor's Note
