I want to live on Mercury

So that my tongue tastes metallic

And my eyes catch fire from the sun

Looking at you

And your blue eyes

 

They’re a different kind of sea

Than mine

But I’ll still swim in those seaweed infested waters

Fighting to the depths so I can see your

      Raw

I wanna chase you through the worm hole

Where on the other side I’m you

And you’re me

And we don’t have to learn each other because we’ve known each

In ways I’ve never felt

I want you to fall in love with me

And I’d like to fall in love with you

 

But it’s a journey

A long one

With places I need to go

And there are things you need to do

Would you teach me how to fly?

You see, I’ve got these bat wings

But they’re plastered on my back

And I can’t open them
