Not Quite (Good for Nothing)A Poem by kera moondustnot 100% on what sparked this one, but I dig it.I fucked up All things considered I f**k up a
lot But there
are a few things Even I am good for I’m good for
lies Crafted out
of Goliaths gold silk Spun for
only the most beautiful mouths Clever Without the edging Obvious Pinocchio’s
nose Something
similar to the dirty beauty of snakes in the garden Like a
gorgeous boy Playing
puppet strings With all the pretty little girls fragile glass Hearts Mocking us
with his fucked up version of Perfection After all I doubt if
anyone knows “The truth The whole Truth Nothing but the Truth” I’m good for
Dirt Not the
pebbles on the ground Or the dust
in the air streams of my lunges But the kind
of dirt you’ve got to listen for Gain trust
and pay attention too I nurse the
dirt let it fester Then hand it
out in pretty little bound books With all the
best pages torn out Because you
gotta pay up, to get those juicy bits In your own
deep Dark Unrequited Secrets The kind
that’d make your mother cringe And father
cry for his Perfect Darling Daughter I’m good for
half-baked thoughts and bad ideas Like food
you’ve been chewing on for awhile That’s lost its
flavor Despite how
good it may have originally been The ideas
that spark cold nights Half told
truths Dares And a bunch
of unforgiving poisons Slipping down
the throats of the all too young Like a bad
story on half full pages Strewn out
with Mary sues and A dry sense
