Lucky SoulsA Poem by kera moondustThe poem for my second grandma, the one still living. You’d run
your fingers threw my wheat colored bangs Your nails
gently scratching over my forehead Decorated in
a pleasant pale red And a soft
murmured laugh Your honeyed
I love you’s still hang on my Finger tips And my blue
eyes looked up at you Like you put
the stars in my sky’s It’s been a
rough year For you that
is something I know I guess for
me a little bit too With the
passing of people dear But believe
me when I say Heaven will
be lucky for a cranky old man like Him And you’re
time isn’t yet over You’re still
needed here on earth Because
someday, hopefully You’ll be
here to Watch me
walk down that isle I love
rolling around on your living room floor With your
puppy’s and kitty’s Too bad I’m
getting older And so are
you and everyone else I don’t love
you any less Your food is
some of the best I’ve ever tasted And I’m not
just saying that because You’re
my grandma. Grams © 2012 kera moondustAuthor's Note
