She's Living Among the AngelsA Poem by kera moondustfor Christmas I wrote each of my grandmother's a poem, this is the first one.The air is
mixed with the wild of cold breezes And the
warmth of the fires last glow Snow casts a
glittering blanket under Showers of
silvery moonlight A woman
rocks quietly in her favorite rocking chair Dark hair
with a silver tint curls around her ears While her
quiet sapphire gaze is casted downwards onto a good book She was
always pretty in her favorite Christmas
sweaters Adorned
pretty in all her crosses and favorite jewels These warm
winter nights are some of my most prominent memories Aside from
watching the Nutcracker ballet And the ball
drop on New Year’s Eve Memories of
my strong and beautiful grandma I didn’t
really know much about her life Before me Before my dad Mom And
brother But I’m sure
there were stories After all
she picked up this sailor in a bar I guess And he loved
her so much he tore off kisses and mailed them In
a letter What happened to hand written love letters?
Well I guess
they’ve just faded along with dear generations I always thought
my grandma was pretty And her food
was always the best Something
I’d look forward to when we went to visit my grandparents Was the fact
that for 1.
We always got dessert after dinner 2.
And she made the best pancakes anyone could ask
for I’m older now And my grandma’s been placed with the angels But I’m not quite ready to forget blue eyes And beauty © 2012 kera moondustAuthor's Note
