Addicted to the Stage

We just finished opening night of my 4th play in high school tonight. I love acting, It's exciting, eccentric, mysterious, beautiful, funny, and so many more things all in one. =)

Do you know the feeling of blood

Pumping through your veins

So full of rhythm and nerves you can't sit still?

Do you know the feeling of your heart

Drumming against your rib cage like a humming bird

Without a name

So fast you can feel it all the way down to your thumbs

How about the lights on your skin

Warming your body

Clothes uncomfortable, not your own

And taking on a new personality every second

Every moment

With every drop of a phrase

These are feelings I yearn for

Lean into

Plead for

Theater enters my mouth like water

Revitalizing my body

Ready

To preform

Act 

Sing 

Dance

It's a lifestyle, an art

And I'm addicted too it
